New tank for bubble tests

In order to ensure patient safety and fulfil strict regulatory requirements, the packaging of medical devices must guarantee the sterility of the contents.

One method of testing this is the bubble test, which is carried out in accordance with ASTM F2096. In this test, the integrity of the packaging is examined by placing it in a pool of water. If air bubbles emerge, the packaging is leaking and the contents are not sterile.

To extend the range of tests we offer, we have added a large bubble basin to our equipment. This allows us to perform these tests on specimens up to 200 x 50 cm in size.
